An Outstanding Assembly

Last Friday 31 July we hosted our feel good assembly.  The emphasis was on our Keys for Learning.  John was excited, Hamish was a wee bit nervous, but, disappointed because his dad was not there as he had a sore back.

We began with some spinning around, with some extremely cool music where we introduced our Keys for Learning opportunities.  When Mr Wemyss spoke, he was extremely polite ( of course ) as he turned around and said "Sorry for having my back to you - lovely children".  Everyone in our class said something.  It included our learning opportunities, the slide shows and other general comments.

There were two slide shows involving Room 2 scone baking / box making and the superb senior school (Rm's 8,9 and 10) ski trip.  We hear the ski trip might happen again next year as well.  Fantastic eh!

We can tell a few of the general Keys for Learning comments some people said:
Welcome to our valued feel good assembly.
At C.T.S. we like to show initiative and actively care for our school environment - visitors welcome to morning tea afterwards.
Teacher's are confident speakers.
Notices - Now you need to be active listeners.
We are innovative thinkers.
We know that mistakes are a learning opportunity.
We like to have fun too.
An opportunity to all to participate fully - school sang the NZ National Anthem
Hoped that departing students would reflect on their fabulous time at C.T.S.
At the end of the assembly we also invited all to reflect upon our assembly.

It was a great team effort, just like this blog.
